""John Snow, M.D., a representative of medical science and art of the Victorian era.""

(1900)Disciples of Æsculapius, with a life of the author by his daughter, [Mary Stella] Mrs. George Martin, 227-244. London: Hutchinson, 1900

Original, University of Alberta Libraries; digitized in partnership with the Open Content Alliance and Internet Archive. With thanks for research assistance from Michigan State University Libraries staff.

Richardson was awarded a knighthood in 1893. He died in 1896. His family, chiefly his only daughter, supervised the publication of two post-humous books listing him as author: Vita Medica (1897), and Disciples of Æsculapius.

The essay on Snow in the latter is a virtual reprint of what appeared in The Asclepiad in 1887, with the exception that articles, book titles, and Parliamentary acts are italicized rather than set off by quotation marks. [PVJ]
