At this second meeting we formed new partnerships. Specifically we learned how expertise from both universities can be combined, understanding the role computation can play in a science of learning, and thinking about how the science and technology practiced by each research group can be brought to bear on complex research questions. We also identified several social science research projects that dovetail with learning research objectives. By the end of the meeting researchers from both universities were ready to move forward and define a research agenda that can be shared with potential partners in academia and industry.
